Getting Started
Setup & Activation
Download the .dmg file from the link in your order confirmation email, or from the order page on insect-audio.com after the purchase process.
Double-click the .dmg to mount it. A Finder window opens showing the disk image contents: the Installer, the Uninstaller, and a Documentation PDF.
Double-click Installer and follow the on-screen steps. macOS may ask for your administrator password.
The installer places the plugin in the standard macOS locations automatically:
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Open your DAW and rescan plugins (or restart it). The Glockfather appears in your instrument browser under Insect Audio.
The Documentation PDF included in the .dmg covers all parameters, tips, and signal-chain recommendations.
Uninstalling
To fully remove the plugin, mount the original .dmg again and run the Uninstaller. It removes all plugin files from both VST3 and AU directories. Preferences and license data stored in ~/Library/Application Support/Insect Audio/ are not removed - delete that folder manually if you want a clean slate.
If macOS blocks the installer with a “developer cannot be verified” warning, right-click (or Control-click) the installer and choose Open from the context menu, then confirm in the dialog.
After a successful purchase, your serial number appears immediately on the order confirmation page at insect-audio.com.
The same serial number is also sent to your purchase email address. Keep this email - it is your permanent proof of license.
Install the plugin (see Installation Guide), then open it inside your DAW. On first launch an activation dialog appears.
Paste your serial number into the activation field and click Activate. The serial encodes your email address - make sure you enter the number exactly as received.
Activation is verified locally - no internet connection is required after the initial check. The plugin will remember the activation on this machine.
Serial Number Format
INST-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXXXXXXYour serial is unique to your purchase and email address. Do not share it.
Lost Your Serial?
Log in to insect-audio.com, navigate to your order history, and your serial number is displayed there. If you no longer have access to your account, contact support with your order confirmation email and a new serial will be issued.
The license covers a single user on any number of personal machines. Transferring or reselling the license is not permitted under the current EULA.
